Build your capacity to support children to develop resilience, confidence, and respectful relationships.
Everyone in our community deserves to be respected, valued, and treated equally. We know the benefits of positive attitudes, behaviours and equality being embedded in our education settings. The Respectful Relationships initiative is offering free professional learning for early childhood educators in Victorian government funded kindergarten programs.
The professional learning is designed to strengthen the capacity of early childhood educators to promote respectful relationships, positive attitudes and behaviours within their teaching approach, to enable children to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence. It will also increase educator knowledge about the role of gender equality in the prevention of family violence, and is informed by the Respectful Relationships in schools approach recommended by the Royal Commission into Family Violence.
Up to 2,400 early childhood educators will opt-in and benefit from the professional learning.
